Pakistani actress Mehar Bano has made startling revelations about the country's entertainment industry, alleging that some television dramas are now being written with the help of artificial intelligence while also raising concerns about workplace safety for women on drama sets.

A viral video has been circulating on social media, in which the actress candidly shared her disappointment over the industry's changing creative landscape.

Speaking about the growing use of artificial intelligence, Mehar claimed that viewers may not realize how frequently AI-generated scripts are making their way onto television screens.

"People probably don't realize how many scripts are being written using AI and are actually airing on TV. Unfortunately, I've even worked on one myself. To me, this is the ultimate disrespect to writers and professionals who have devoted their time, talent, and craft to this industry. What is happening?"

The actress revealed that her growing dissatisfaction with the industry's direction ultimately led her to step away from acting.

"That's one of the reasons I stopped working. I'm absolutely exhausted and over what's happening right now."

Mehar also addressed the issue of workplace safety, saying that despite public conversations surrounding the #MeToo movement, many women in the entertainment industry continue to face uncomfortable and inappropriate experiences on drama sets.

"If you think the post-#MeToo world has made workplaces safe for women, especially on sets, you're mistaken. Over the last two years, I've worked with people I hope no other woman ever has to experience. I've personally gone through it, and I've witnessed other women experiencing the same."

It is worth mentioning, previously she made appearance in drama serials including  ‘Mohalla’, ‘Meri Tanhai’ and ‘Sar e Rah’.
