Lahore police have arrested two suspects for making false robbery calls to the police helpline 15, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.
According to a spokesperson, Kahna Police arrested suspect Mudassar from Central Park, while Faisal Town Police took suspect Aziz into custody from Maulana Shaukat Ali Road.
The spokesperson said the suspects made false calls to Police Helpline 15, claiming that two armed motorcyclists had snatched cash and gold at gunpoint before fleeing the scene.
During the initial investigation, the suspects failed to mislead the police for long and eventually got exposed.
Cases have been registered against both suspects, and they have been handed over to the investigation for further legal proceedings.
