A 35- year- old motorcyclist was killed while a car driver was critically injured in a traffic accident within the limits of Defence C Police Station on Thursday morning, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The accident occurred on Defence Phase 8’s Burki Road. Police said a speeding car hit a motorcycle while taking a turn, resulting in a severe crash.
The motorcyclist, identified as Shahid, died on the spot due to his injuries. The driver of the car was injured in the crash and was shifted to a nearby hospital in critical condition for medical treatment.
Police took the body of the deceased into custody and later shifted it to the morgue after completing the required legal formalities.
Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident to determine the exact circumstances that led to the accident.
