A Delhi-bound Air India flight from Hong Kong returned to its airport of origin on Monday after the pilot in command suspected a technical issue, reported Indian media.
The flight landed safely in Hong Kong, all passengers have disembarked and the aircraft is undergoing inspection. The flight departed from Hong Kong at 12.16 pm (local time) and was scheduled to land in Delhi at 12.20 pm IST.

Earlier, a Lufthansa flight bound for Hyderabad was forced to turn back and return to Frankfurt Airport in Germany after failing to receive landing clearance due to a bomb threat.
Flight LH752 had departed Frankfurt and was scheduled to arrive at Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Airport early Monday. However, the aircraft made a U-turn mid-route. ANI quoted Lufthansa Airlines stating, “We did not receive a permit to land in Hyderabad, and that's why the aircraft took a U-turn and returned.”
The unexpected diversion sparked confusion, with the airline citing the lack of landing clearance as the reason, while airport authorities pointed to the bomb threat as the cause.
Meanwhile, public outrage has intensified against Air India following the tragic Boeing 787 Dreamliner crash in Ahmedabad. Families and mourners have voiced strong frustration over alleged shortcomings in the airline’s maintenance and pilot training.
