Unidentified assailants opened fire on a vehicle carrying SHO Jacobabad Nazeer Chandio on his way to Larkana on Monday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The firing incident occurred near SSP Chowk in Larkana. The deceased was deputed as SHO in Police Station Mirpur Buriro in Jacobabad.
Police sources said that SHO Nazeer Chandio was going to appear in a court in Larkana, when his car reached SSP Chowk, some unidentified persons opened fire on him and he breathed his last on the spot.
Soon after the incident, local police reached the spot and shifted the dead body of SHO to a local hospital for autopsy.
Further investigation was underway.
