PTI, PML-N lawmakers manhandle each other in Punjab Assembly

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) MPA Chaudhry Ejaz Shafi and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) MPA Bilal Yamin had a heated argument and then manhandled each other in the Punjab Assembly during the budget session on Monday.

The fight erupted when Ejaz Shafi went towards Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz and the ruling party MPAs stood in his way. Bilal Yamin’s expensive Rolex watch went missing during the mayhem.

Later, Bilal Yamin submitted a written application to Punjab Assembly Speaker Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan.

Ejaz Shafi won the Punjab Assembly election from PP-258 Rahim Yar Khan-IV by securing 65,932 votes. According to the result issued by the Returning Officer/ECP, his runner-up was Muhammad Arshad Javaid of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) who bagged 31,787 votes. Overall voters’ turnout remained 47.26 percent.

Bilal Yamin won the election from Punjab Assembly constituency PP-6 Murree by securing 65,056 votes. According to the result issued by the Returning Officer/ECP, his runner-up was an independent candidate Zain Ul Abidin who got 33,475 votes. Voters’ turnout remained at 56.32 per cent.
