Punjab allocates Rs7.6 billion for sports infrastructure, development projects

The Punjab government has earmarked Rs7.6 billion in the budget 2025-26 to boost the sports infrastructure and complete various development projects in the province.

In the 2025–26 budget, Rs2.43 billion have been set aside for 88 newly introduced development schemes aimed at expanding access to sporting facilities and nurturing talent at the grassroots level.

Moreover, Rs5.17 billion has been allocated for completion of ongoing development projects in the province’s sports sector.

These efforts are expected to enhance existing venues and provide modern training environments for athletes across Punjab.

This strategic allocation in the 2025–26 budget reflects the provincial administration’s growing emphasis on youth engagement, healthy activities and long-term talent development through structured sports planning.
