A 17-year-old girl attempted to jump from the second floor of a building in a private housing society in Rawalpindi but she was saved by the rescue personnel, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
The incident took place in Phase 8 of a private housing society in Rawalpindi where the tragedy-stricken girl tried to end her life following her father’s death. Soon after receiving the report, a Rescue 1122 team rushed to the spot and rescued the girl who was attempting to jump off from the second floor of the building.
The girl was later identified as Abash. An investigation was underway to determine the real cause behind her jumping attempt.
Man injured due to lightning
A man became seriously injured after being struck by lightning in the Ayub Park area of Rawalpindi. The park is located on the GT Road in Rawalpindi.
After receiving the report, the Rescue 1122 team reached the site and, after providing first aid, shifted the man to the hospital.
The man was later identified as Waqas Ahmad, aged 33.
