Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Tuesday issued a show-cause notice to Senator Zarqa Suharwardy over her statement on the Kashmir issue, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
In a statement, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Member of National Assembly (MNA) Asad Qaiser said that the party has decided to issue a show-cause notice to Senator Zarqa Suharwardy as she made unnecessary remarks regarding Kashmir, which were against the party’s policy.
The PTI disowned the statement of Senator Zarqa and said that these remarks reflect her personal opinion, not the party’s.
PTI leader Shaikh Waqas Akram said that his party had already announced to accept all public demands of the Joint Action Committee, and the PTI also issued a detailed statement including its stance on the 12 reserved seats.
He said that Senator Zarqa had already been served with a show-cause notice, and PTI is also reviewing the issue in accordance with rules and regulations, and the final decision in this regard is still pending.
