In its effort to send Prime Minister Imran Khan packing, the opposition is holding relentless meetings to intensify its anti-government campaign as PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif and PDM Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman will hold another round of talks with the leaders of government ally – MQM today (Wednesday) to win their support for the success of no-confidence motion against government, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Sources said a high-level delegation of the opposition including Shehbaz, Maulana Fazl and others will call on the MQM leadership today at Parliament Lodges in Islamabad. They would seek MQM’s support for the no-trust move against prime minister.
The MQM will host a supper in honour of the opposition leader.
On Tuesday, the Mutahidda extended an invitation to the opposition leaders to meet them at Parliament Lodges today.
Meanwhile, JUI Chief Maulana Fazl has summoned all members of National Assembly of his party at his residence today.
Maulana Fazl who is president of nine opposition parties’ alliance – PDM - has summoned all MNAs of his alliance at his residence in the evening today.
The Maulana along with JUI Parliamentary leader Maulana Asad Mehmood will preside over the huddle. Maulana Fazl Will host dinner in honour of the MNAs.
The meeting will hold discussion on no-confidence motion. They will also deliberate PDM rally in Islamabad which has been rescheduled and will be held on March 25 instead of March 23.
While taking advice of PML-Q leader Ch Shujaat Hussain, the PDM chief changed the date of the rally due to the OIC Foreign Ministers’ moot in the federal capital on March 23 and the Pakistan Day parade.
The Maulana said foreign guests who were coming to the OIC meeting in Islamabad were highly respectable for them and the opposition would not create any hurdle during their stay in Pakistan
He said though the long march will start on March 23 in far off districts but the marchers would finally reach Islamabad on March 25and the participants would stay there for the next few days.
