CM Gandapur meets Imran Khan in Adiala jail, Discusses political landscape

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur on Saturday called on PTI founder Imran Khan at Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail, reported 241NewsHD TV channel.
Giving details of the meeting, the Advisor to Chief Minister on Information and Public Relations, Barrister Dr Mohammad Ali Saif said that the meeting between Gandapur and the former prime minister lasted for 30 minutes, during which the duo discussed the country’s current political situation.
The meeting took place in the jail’s conference room, he said, adding that Gandapur arrived at the jail without any official protocol.
He continued Ali Amin Gandapur consulted PTI founder Imran Khan on important political issues and took instructions from Imran Khan.
Barrister Dr Ali Saif added that both the dignities discussed the party candidates from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to filed in the Senate elections.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister got Imran Khan’s approval for the contenders.
The advisor to CM said that KP Chief Minister also briefed the party’s founder in detailed about his meeting with the Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
Imran Khan reiterated the importance of pursuing provincial interests and instructed Gandapur to continue efforts in this regard.
Discussions also encompassed the upcoming SIFC (Special Committee on Inter-Provincial Coordination) meeting, with Imran Khan advising Chief Minister Gandapur to actively engage in federal platforms to assert provincial rights effectively.
Barrister Dr Ali Saif said addressing the security concerns, Imran Khan expressed regret over the recent attack on Pakistan Army officials in North Waziristan and instructed Gandapur to prioritize measures to enhance security in the province.
The PTI founder emphasized the significance of cooperation with law enforcement agencies to maintain peace and order.
Furthermore, Chief Minister Gandapur provided an update on initiatives such as the restoration of health cards and Ramadan packages, receiving praise from Imran Khan for these provincial endeavors.
