Aja Naomi King is celebrating her former How to Get Away with Murder co-star Viola Davis with a touching tribute.

While promoting her new NBC series Grosse Pointe Garden Society, King, 40, took a moment to express her admiration for Davis in a video message.

"Viola, you are incredible ... and inspire all of us. No one does it like you do it. You are one of a kind," King said. "You are phenomenal. And we’re just so grateful that we get to witness your greatness."

King and Davis worked together for six seasons on How to Get Away with Murder, which aired from 2014 to 2020. The legal thriller earned Davis an Emmy in 2015 for her role as Annalise Keating, making her the first Black woman to win Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series. Her impressive career achievements later secured her EGOT status in 2023.

Meanwhile, King received her first Emmy nomination in 2024 for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series for her performance in Lessons in Chemistry. She now stars in Grosse Pointe Garden Society, which premiered on NBC on February 23.
