Prince William has revealed an unexpected third companion who shares his bed with Kate Middleton at night—his beloved dog.
During a visit to Duchy College Stoke Climsland in Callington, Cornwall, the Prince of Wales opened up about his sleeping routine, noting that unlike past royals, he and Kate share a bed. He also let slip that their small dog has made itself quite comfortable in their nightly routine.
"[William] said that his little dog sleeps on the bed with them at night, with him and Kate," shared Louise Harland, a student who spoke with the prince.
The royal's love for animals doesn’t stop there. During a separate engagement at Woodgate Valley Urban Farm, William also talked about his family's guinea pigs.
"We've got guinea pigs at home, and they are not like this," he remarked, pointing to the well-behaved animals at the farm.
He humorously admitted that the task of cleaning out the guinea pig cage often falls on him, as his children tend to forget. "You have to handle them all the time. That’s why these ones are so calm. The ones we’ve got at home, they’re off!" he joked.
It seems that between royal duties and family pets, Prince William has his hands full both day and night!
