Terrorists launched three different attacks on police stations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, martyring two policemen and kidnapping a security guard, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
According to the police officials and rescue teams, militants targeted two police stations in Karak and one in Takht Bhai late at night.
As per the channel report, the law enforcement agencies retaliated, forcing the attackers to flee.
DSP Yousaf confirmed that Aslam Noor, serving as an investigation officer at Takht Nusrati Police Station, was martyred during the assault.
DPO Shehbaz Elahi revealed that another attack took place at Essak Khumari Police Station, where terrorists abducted a security guard.
However, he was later rescued after a successful police operation, the DPO confirmed.
In a separate attack on Machni Gate Police Station in Lakki Marwat, cop Nazar Ali embraced martyrdom while on duty.
A heavy police contingent responded swiftly, forcing the militants to escape under the cover of darkness.
Authorities have launched a large-scale search operation to track down the perpetrators behind these brazen attacks.
