Pakistan registers current account surplus of $12m

Pakistan has brought current account under control as the country registered $12 million surplus in April 2025, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.

Pakistan recorded current account surplus of $1.88 billion in the first 10 months of current fiscal year. In April 2025 trade deficit was $2.62 billion.

According to State Bank of Pakistan, the current account remained in surplus of $1.88 billion in the first 10 months of the current fiscal year.

State Bank of Pakistan reported a current account deficit of $1.33 billion in the first 10 months of the last fiscal year 2024.

In April 2025, exports stood at $2.61 billion. Import bill in April was $5.23 billion.

In April 2025 trade deficit was $2.62 billion. State Bank of Pakistan report revealed that in April 2025 remittances were $3.18 billion.

The trade deficit in the first 10 months of the current fiscal year was $21.34 billion. Exports in the first 10 months of the current fiscal year stood at $27.27 billion. Import bill in 10 months of current fiscal year stood at $48.61 billion.
