The number of pending cases in Lahore district courts is increasing day by day, and now the total number of pending cases has climbed up to over 321,000, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
According to details, 305,849 cases were awaiting hearing in various courts as of April 1, 2026.
In April 2026, 67,554 new cases were filed in different courts of Lahore, while 51,082 cases were settled during the month.
The number of cases in criminal courts has decreased from 33,309 to 31,389. New 7,754 cases were filed in criminal courts, and 9,316 were settled.
The burden of cases in the civil courts of Lahore has increased, as pending cases in civil courts have soared to 290,265.
As many as 59,800 new cases were filed in civil courts during April 2026, and 41,766 cases were decided in the civil courts of Lahore.
