A fifth criminal case linked to alleged drug supplier Anmol alias Pinky has surfaced in Lahore, raising questions over why the accused was never arrested despite being named in multiple narcotics investigations.
According to police records, Gujjarpura Police arrested an alleged drug dealer identified as Nawaz in 2018 and recovered 1,100 grams of narcotics from his possession. Police officials stated that the accused confessed during investigation that he used to purchase and sell drugs supplied by Anmol alias Pinky.
The FIR further stated that the accused claimed Anmol Pinky was operating the drug supply network from her residence located in the Defence area of Lahore.
Sources said cases connected to the accused have surfaced in several police jurisdictions, including Kot Lakhpat Police, Wahdat Colony Police, Liaquatabad Police, Iqbal Town Police and Gujjarpura Police.
Despite multiple cases allegedly naming her, police sources revealed that Anmol alias Pinky was never arrested in any of the investigations. It was further claimed that investigation teams also failed to declare the accused a proclaimed offender in any of the registered cases.
The latest revelations have triggered concerns regarding the handling of narcotics cases and the performance of investigative authorities in pursuing suspects allegedly linked to organized drug distribution networks in Lahore.
