Hyderabad Police on Saturday claimed to have arrested a woman allegedly involved in supplying drugs to educational institutions during a raid carried out by the city’s task force, 24NewsHD TV reported.
According to a police spokesperson, the operation was conducted under the supervision of the task force, leading to the arrest of a suspected female drug dealer identified as Ambreen, also known as “Gudi” Chandio, a resident of Aliabad Colony in Hyderabad.
Police said officers recovered 3,090 grams of hashish and 23.97 grams of heroin from the suspect’s possession during the raid.
Police said the accused has a criminal record, with six cases previously registered against her at different police stations in Hyderabad, as well as with the excise and narcotics department.
Police said further investigations are underway to identify other individuals linked to the alleged drug network.
