Four migrants died off the Libyan coast after two boats carrying dozens of people capsized, 24NewsHD TV reported on Sunday.
According to the channel, one boat was carrying 26 Bangladeshi migrants, while the second vessel had 69 people on board, including two Egyptians and dozens of Sudanese nationals.
The tragedy comes as similar deadly incidents continue across the Mediterranean.
On October 27, four migrants drowned when their small boat overturned in strong winds near the Greek island of Lesbos, the Greek coastguard said.
The latest fatality brings to ten the number of people who have died in migrant boat accidents on the Greek side of the Aegean Sea this month.
A coastguard spokesperson told AFP that seven people were rescued from the Lesbos boat, while another 24 men were found on the island’s shore. Most of those on board were believed to be Sudanese.
Lesbos, along with nearby islands such as Chios, Kos, Leros and Samos, is among the main destinations for migrants attempting to reach Europe from Turkey.
Last week, the bodies of two women were recovered from the Chios coastline after a vessel carrying at least 29 people capsized. Earlier, on October 7, four bodies were found off Lesbos.
On Friday, 17 migrants drowned off the Turkish resort town of Bodrum, located just five kilometres from the Greek island of Kos.
According to the International Organization for Migration, around 1,400 migrants have died this year while attempting to reach Europe via Mediterranean routes.
