Pakistan Rangers Sindh and police arrested a most-wanted commander of the Lyari gang war, Shoukat Ali alias Agha Shoukat, in Karachi, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel on Sunday.
According to details, the accused joined a gang war group headed by Commander Abdul Rehman Dekat in 2004.
The accused was involved in various crime incidents, including target killing, extortion, drug selling, and police encounters.
Later, he joined the People's Aman Committee in 2009 and the Commander Noor Mohammad alias Baba Ladla group in 2013.
Police said that the accused had escaped abroad to avoid his arrest. He returned to reactivate his network.
The accused's name is also mentioned in the Counter Terrorism Department’s (CTD) Sindh Red Book
Various criminal cases of murder, attempted murder, and police encounters were registered against the accused.
Police also recovered a large quantity of arms and ammunition from the possession of the accused.
