Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif held a meeting with a delegation of the Pakistan People's Party (PPP) led by Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari at the Prime Minister’s Office on Thursday, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.
The PPP delegation included senior party leaders and parliamentarians Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, Senator Sherry Rehman, Nayyar Bukhari, Nadeem Afzal Chan, and Syed Ali Qasim Gillani.
During the meeting, both sides discussed the country’s overall political situation and matters of mutual interest.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reaffirmed that the Pakistan People's Party is a coalition partner and that relations with the PPP are based on mutual respect and cooperation.
The delegation praised PM role in facilitating the Gaza peace accord and extended tribute to the Prime Minister for his diplomatic efforts.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal, Minister for National Food Security Rana Tanveer Hussain, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar, Minister for Public Affairs Rana Mubashir Iqbal, Adviser to the Prime Minister on Political Affairs Rana Sanaullah, and Speaker of the Punjab Assembly Malik Ahmad Khan were also present during the meeting.
