The Ravi Urban Development Authority (RUDA) has selected the site for a new airport, which has been proposed to be built in Lahore, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.
The new airport will be built near the M-3 section of the motorway and it will be 30 kilometers from the Allama Iqbal International Airport.
The concerned officials have said that consultations were underway on the project’s cost and financing model.
However, they have said that the project is presently in its initial stages.
They have further said that the project will help reduce the burden of air traffic, and will also generate economic and investment opportunities.
