TikToker Samiya Hijab has claimed she forgave Hassan Zahid, who was accused by her of harassment and attempted abduction, saying the decision was made ‘for the sake of Allah” and not in exchange for money.
In an interview with 24NewsHD, Samiya said Zahid’s father visited her home to apologise and that the family asked for forgiveness. “His family asked for forgiveness. I don’t think the entire household should suffer for his mistake,” she told the channel.
Addressing online speculation about a financial settlement, Samiya said she did not accept any money and that she has messages to support her claim.
“I didn’t take any money for reconciliation. I have messages as proof. If I had taken the money, I would be very happy right now. I forgave Hassan purely for the sake of Allah,” she said.
Samiya said the episode has damaged her ability to trust others. “For the next three to four years, I won’t be able to trust anyone,” she said.
She said the controversy has affected her social media following. “Had this incident not happened, I would have a million followers,” she said, adding that she views the reconciliation as a victory for other women as well.

The dispute began earlier this month when Samiya filed complaints alleging harassment, threats and an attempt to abduct her. Shalimar police registered two FIRs against Hassan Zahid – one for abduction and another for issuing threats and snatching cash.
Records show that Hassan’s bail plea was initially rejected, and the matter later moved toward reconciliation after the family discussions.

Samiya has previously been involved in other high-profile controversies. She has publicly denied responsibility for a private video that circulated online, calling it fake and alleging it was produced using artificial intelligence. She said she intended to take the matter to the FIA Cybercrime Wing.

Speaking about the toll the incidents have taken, Samiya told the interviewer that the harassment severely affected her mental health and that she had contemplated suicide on two occasions, but chose to continue living for her mother’s sake.
Drawing parallels with other tragic cases involving online harassment, including the murder of social media creator Sana Yousaf, Samiya urged authorities to strengthen protections for women facing online defamation, stalking and threats.
