Pakistani actress Sabeena Farooq has opened up about the emotional toll of a horrifying family killing in Karachi’s Surjani Town, admitting that the tragedy has left her feeling numb as she struggles to process the violence and distressing events unfolding around her.

Taking to Instagram, the actress shared a deeply personal note in which she revealed that she has been speaking less in recent days because she has been trying to escape her own thoughts and simply cope with the emotional weight she is carrying.

“I don’t speak much these days because honestly I’ve become numb and escaping my own thoughts just to survive now,” Sabeena wrote.

She went on to say that the incident in Surjani Town, along with the violence taking place elsewhere on a daily basis, had deeply shaken her.

“What happened in Surjani Karachi and what is happening everywhere every day has rattled me,” she said, adding that there was now so much on her mind that she found it difficult to express her feelings.

“There is so much in my heart now that none comes out,” the actress added.

Sabeena also expressed hope that justice would be served for the Surjani victims and others who have suffered similar tragedies, while acknowledging that she herself was struggling emotionally.

“I’m hoping justice for Surjani and all other victims and hoping for myself to get better,” she concluded.

Her emotional message came after a woman and her three young children were killed at their home in Karachi’s Surjani Town. Police identified the mother as 34-year-old Mahwish and her children as six-year-old Hira, five-year-old Hunain and 18-month-old Ashmira. The youngest child was found critically injured and later died at hospital.

According to police, the victims suffered severe injuries, while investigators are examining multiple aspects of the case. Police have also formed an eight-member investigation team to determine the circumstances surrounding the killings, while the motive remains under investigation.

The tragedy has sent shockwaves through the local community and prompted renewed concern over violence and the safety of families in Karachi. Authorities are continuing to examine forensic evidence, CCTV footage and other leads as the investigation progresses.

Sabeena’s heartfelt words struck a chord with social media users, many of whom related to her sense of helplessness and emotional exhaustion in the aftermath of such disturbing news. The comments section was filled with messages of support, with users acknowledging how deeply incidents of violence can affect people even when they are not directly involved.

Known for using her social media platform to speak about serious social issues, Sabeena has previously called for justice in cases involving violence against children. Her latest message once again reflects her concern over the human cost of violence and her hope that victims and their families receive justice.
