A police sub-inspector was killed when his cousin allegedly opened fire on him over a property dispute in the Kalu Khan area of Swabi, Reported 24NewsHD TV.
According to DPO Waqas Rafiq, Sub-Inspector Qamar Zaman Khan was deployed with the Special Branch in Mardan and was currently attending a course. He had come home on leave when the incident took place.
The accused fled the scene after the firing, while police reached the spot and launched an investigation.
The body of the deceased police officer was shifted to Kalu Khan Hospital.
Meanwhile, two police personnel were killed and two others injured when a speeding car overturned near Jamshoro in Matiari.
According to police, the car was travelling from Jamshoro towards Sehwan when it met with an accident within the limits of Thebat Police Station.
The speeding vehicle went out of control, diverged off the road and fell into a ditch.
Police identified the deceased as Shaheen Force personnel Javed Jalbani and Ghulam Mustafa Panhwar.
The injured were identified as Shaheen Force In-charge Zaman Panhwar and Sanaullah Brohi, who were shifted to Sehwan Hospital for medical treatment.
The funeral prayers of martyred police official Ghulam Mustafa Panhwar were also offered with full police honours. SSP Jamshoro Zafar Siddique Chhanga attended the funeral, while a smartly turned-out police contingent presented a guard of honor.
