Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi has reviewed public transport service in the provincial capital.
He inspected the Metro Bus and Orange Line Train services. Out-of-order machinery and poor condition of washrooms invited his ire.
The chief minister summoned the transport secretary and directed him to fix such problems at the earliest. He instructed a review of the extension of compartments for women on the train.
He interacted with the passengers who made complaints to him about the mismanagement. The CM assured them of redressing their grievance in a couple of days.
He sought recommendations for providing the students with free travel facilities on the metro bus and orange line train. Students must be provided with all-out facilities, he insisted.
He took a tour from Anarkali to Ali Town on the train by paying from his pocket and had talks with the other passengers. People also took selfies with him.
He took a ride on a metro bus from Kutchehri to Janazgah. He came to know that the bus air-conditioner has been out of order for the past 6 months.
The chief minister has been on a campaign to expedite the govt projects, reiterating his resolve to provide the people with swift solutions. Taking to Twitter, he shared his yester night’s visits.

In a three-and-a-half-hour tour, he pointed out problems and ordered authorities concerned to fix these problems so that better public service delivery could be ensured.
Also, Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi visited the Registry Branch at DC Office in Lahore.
The staff were absent and the people made a litany of complaints to the chief minister about the lethargy on the part of the staff.
He ordered the staff to follow rules and regulations and show discipline.
Talking to complainants, he promised to bring betterment to government offices.
He directed authorities concerned to address the grievances of the people within 24 hours.
