The federal government has accelerated the privatisation process of Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO), reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
In this regard, the Special Investment Facilities Council (SIFC) has sought records of LESCO's assets.
The Special Investment Facilitation Council has sought records of grid stations, land, transmission lines, housing colonies, offices, and furniture. Records of vehicles and cranes owned by LESCO have also been sought.
A letter has been issued to provide records of other properties, including transmission lines. A letter has also been sent to LESCO to seek annual reports.
The Power Planning and Monitoring Company (PPMC) has sought records of asset details from LESCO and has sent a letter to LESCO.
The federal government has kept the privatisation of LESCO in phase two of privatisation.
