Pakistani YouTuber Rajab Butt’s much discussed entry into cinema has taken another major step, with versatile actress Amar Khan now confirmed as his leading lady in the upcoming film.
The development comes after Rajab had already given fans a glimpse into his cinematic venture months ago by sharing behind the scenes snippets from the shooting of a grand song. The footage sparked widespread speculation about his transition to the big screen, although details about his co-star and the project were initially kept under wraps.
Now, Amar Khan has been confirmed to play the female lead opposite Rajab, marking an unexpected on-screen pairing that has already generated curiosity among entertainment enthusiasts.
The project, which has already completed its first major shooting spell, the high-budget film has described as an intense action romance that tackles the serious social issue of women trafficking. Showing his deep commitment to the cause, Butt is also reportedly partly sponsoring the project himself.
Adding to the excitement, Rajab’s close friends and fellow content creators Haider, Dogar and Shahbaz are also appearing in supporting roles, giving the project an extra connection to his massive digital fanbase.
Veteran filmmaker Syed Faisal Bukhari has been directing the film, while renowned choreographer Nigah Jee is handling its musical sequences. The movie’s soundtrack is being developed by leading Pakistani music composers.
The film is being shot across Punjab and Bangkok, Thailand, while the first major shooting spell has already been completed. The project is currently being prepared for a grand theatrical release across Pakistan in 2027.
