Pakistani pleasant TV personality Sarwat Gilani has spill out happiness on how Indian superstar Aamir Khan’s team contacted her after her web series Churails gained popularity in India.
Sarwat recalled the memory and shared that initially she thought that Aamir Khan might be interested in casting her in one of his upcoming projects.
However, after the bittersweet moment she was pleasantly surprised to learn that the actor wanted something completely different.
According to Sarwat, Aamir’s team asked her to provide the complete episodes of Loose Talk, the iconic Pakistani show featuring legendary performers Moin Akhtar and Anwar Maqsood.
She said Aamir was wonder-struck by Moin Akhtar’s ability to portray a wide range of characters and appearances and epistle that he had never seen an actor transform into so many different personalities so convincingly.
Sarwat also share by remembering that Aamir acknowledged the immense talent and international respect enjoyed by Moin Akhtar and Anwar Maqsood.
Moin Akhtar was a legendary Pakistani comedian, actor, television host and writer whose career spanned more than four decades across radio, stage and television.
Born in Karachi in 1950, he made his television debut in 1966 and went on to become one of the most celebrated names in Urdu comedy.
He became especially famous for Loose Talk, where he portrayed more than 300 characters alongside writer Anwar Maqsood, while his performance in Rozi further showcased his remarkable versatility.
The legend was known for his command over several languages and ability to transform into different characters.
Moin Akhtar received the Pride of Performance in 1996 and Sitara-e-Imtiaz in 2011.
He died in Karachi on April 22, 2011, aged 60, but remains one of Pakistan’s most beloved entertainment icons.
