Health authorities in Faisalabad have reported a decline in dengue cases, with only one new patient confirmed during the past 24 hours, offering cautious relief amid ongoing seasonal concerns, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Wednesday.
Officials said the dengue virus was confirmed in a patient currently under treatment at Allied Hospital One. Despite the recent decrease, the cumulative number of cases remains significant, with 324 dengue-positive patients reported at Allied Hospital One so far this year.
At Allied Hospital Two, 65 dengue cases have been recorded during the same period, bringing the total number of dengue patients reported at both hospitals to 389 in the current year.
The Health and Population Department has urged citizens to remain vigilant and adopt preventive measures, including eliminating stagnant water and maintaining cleanliness, to curb the spread of the mosquito-borne disease.
Medical experts have warned that despite the apparent slowdown, dengue can resurge if preventive efforts are relaxed, particularly during fluctuating weather conditions.
