Pakistan’s legendary former cricketer Javed Miandad was briefly hospitalized on Wednesday after experiencing chest discomfort, prompting immediate medical attention, 24NewsHD TV reported.
He was rushed to the National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD) in Karachi, where doctors conducted a series of precautionary examinations.
According to hospital sources, Miandad underwent routine cardiac tests, including angiography, to assess his condition.
After reviewing the medical reports, doctors confirmed that his health was stable and that no serious complications were detected.
Following the medical evaluation, Miandad was allowed to return home later the same day.
Before his discharge, he expressed satisfaction with the medical facilities and services provided at NICVD.
Speaking to well-wishers, Miandad said he was feeling much better and thanked doctors, medical staff, and fans for their prayers and support.
He added that, by the grace of Allah and with the prayers of the nation, his health would continue to improve.
Javed Miandad is widely regarded as one of Pakistan’s greatest batters and remained the backbone of the national cricket team from 1975 to 1996, earning immense respect for his match-winning performances and lasting contribution to the sport.
