Three brothers, who had come from Islamabad to Lahore to buy a car, were robbed of cash in DHA, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
Swindlers, Hamza and Murad, showed them the vehicle and house of another person and made away with cash.
And despite the registration of an FIR, the suspects are still at large.
According to reports, Sheikh Usman came to Lahore along with his brothers Sheikh Asad and Sheikh Habib to buy a car.
The fraudsters took them to a resident of DHA, Noman.
As per the FIR registered on the complaint of Sheikh Usman, the suspects took Rs4.5 million from him for a test drive.
“And when the time came for the biometric, the tricksters made away with the cash,” said Usman in the FIR, adding that later Noman too refused to hand over the car.
The complainant said that the police were reluctant to take action against the swindlers despite the fact that there existed video footage with the help of which the suspects could be identified.
He appealed to Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz to take notice of the incident and ensure the arrest of the suspects.
