The federal government on Wednesday announced a series of transfers and postings across key departments, issuing formal notifications through the Establishment Division.
According to the notifications, Syed Abrar Hussain, a Grade 20 officer of the Pakistan Administrative Service, has been appointed Director General of the Pakistan Environmental Protection Agency (Pak-EPA). He was previously serving at the Public Private Partnership Authority.
In another major development, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif approved the assignment of additional charge of Managing Director of Pakistan Television (PTV) to Ashfaq Ahmed Khalil, Federal Secretary in the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. Following the prime minister’s approval, the Establishment Division issued a notification granting him the additional charge for a period of three months or until a permanent appointment is made.
Muhammad Aamir Khan, a Grade 19 officer of the Pakistan Audit and Accounts Service and currently serving as Director Audit Works Lahore, has been transferred and appointed Deputy Director General of PASS.
The notifications also include several deputation postings.
Alam Zeb, a subject specialist from the Education Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, has been transferred on deputation to the Federal Directorate of Education, Islamabad.
Similarly, Dr. Arifa Sabahat, a medical officer from the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Department, has been appointed Medical Officer at the Federal General Hospital, Islamabad, on deputation for a period of three years.
Assistant Professor Mehwish Munir from the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Education Department has been appointed Deputy Director of the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Region, also on deputation for three years.
In addition, Rida Fatima, a Grade 18 officer of the Information Group and Section Officer in the Ministry of National Heritage and Culture, has been transferred, with her services returned to her parent department, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
Dr. Shujaat Gul, another medical officer from the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Department, has also been transferred and appointed Medical Officer at the Federal General Hospital, Islamabad, on deputation for a three-year term.
The Establishment Division confirmed that official notifications for all appointments and transfers have been issued accordingly.
