The federal cabinet Wednesday approved the summary of a salary increase for the federal government employees, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The federal cabinet met under the chair of Prime Minister Imran Khan and took up various items that were placed on its agenda.
The government has earlier announced an increase of 25percent in the salaries of government employees after a showdown with them during a chaotic protest in the federal capital. Later, the government has excluded employees of 18 departments from this adhoc relief package who were already drawing additional perks and privileges.
According to the sources, the cabinet also gave nod to the reconstruction of the board of the Institute of Management Karachi.
Moreover, the cabinet also approved the allotment of land for the Federal Service Tribunal in Karachi.
The meeting also endorsed the decisions taken by the cabinet committee on the institutional reforms in its meeting held on February 4.
Sources said the cabinet deferred the issue of the appointment of Managing Director for the National Transmission and Dispatch Company.
The cabinet also approved the deployment of Rangers for the by-elections to be held in Tharparkar.
