A family of a patient intending to get treatment at the Pakistan Medical Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) was allegedly thrashed and tortured by the hospital’s security guard on Friday.
According to a video clip obtained by 24NewsHD TV channel, a guard deployed in the health facility allegedly tortured a male patient, his sister Ayesha and their mother due to reasons not ascertained till filing this report.
However, in the video clip, it can be seen that the guard torturing Ayesha's brother who was coming for treatment. His mother and sister were also tortured and got injuries when they tried to save their sibling.
Ironically, Ayesha and her brother went to the OPD Manager to file a complaint against the guard but the manager instead of giving them justice also used reportedly foul language against the family.
According to Ayesha, they also contacted to Joint Executive Director of the hospital Chaudhry Waris Ali, and apprised him about the sad incident.
But, instead of listening to the complaint, Waris Ali uttered also used foul language against them which she cannot even describe, the victim added.
She alleged that Mr Waris Ali supported the guards and put all the blames on them.
The affected girl asked the authorities to act against the responsible.
