Gold prices in Pakistan Monday again increased in line with the rise in international rates, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
In the local market, the price of gold per tola gained Rs1,700, reaching Rs303,200 against its sale at Rs301,500 on the previous trading day.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold surged by Rs1,458, bringing it to Rs259,945 from Rs258,487, according to rates shared by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
This increase aligns with the global trend, as the international gold market saw a rise of $17 per ounce, pushing the price to $2,900.
On Friday, gold price per tola reached an all-time high of Rs306,200 in Pakistan.
On Saturday, gold price per tola decreased by Rs4,700 to settle at Rs301,500.
Despite the fluctuations in gold prices, silver rates remained stable at Rs3,350 per tola in the local market.
Market experts suggest that the continued surge in gold prices is driven by economic uncertainties, inflationary pressures, and increasing demand for safe-haven assets.
Analysts predict further volatility in the coming days as global financial conditions remain uncertain.
