Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Sahiwal Region has arrested a suspect allegedly associated with the banned organization Al-Qaeda during an intelligence-based operation in Okara, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
According to CTD spokesperson, the arrested accused Muhammad Khizr is resident of Shujaabad and explosives were recovered from his possession.
IED, electric circuit, detonator, wire and battery were also recovered from the possession of the accused.
A case number 08/26 has been registered against the accused in CTD Sahiwal police station under the Anti-Terrorism Act.
The accused was shifted to an unknown location and investigation started.
