Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar arrived in London on Monday night, where he held a detailed discussion with media representatives on political and national matters.
Speaking to journalists, Tarar stated that the jailed former prime minister Imran Khan, who is also founder of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), is neither being offered any deal nor granted any relaxation. He added that Khan's founder’s medical condition is not a cause for concern and that unnecessary hype had been created on social media regarding his health.
The minister said that the PTI founder’s medical health is very good and that the issue previously reported has been resolved. He further noted that PTI leaders had also been briefed on the founder’s health, emphasizing that there should be no politics on health-related matters.
Commenting on sports, Tarar said there was no formal discussion with the Prime Minister regarding Pakistan’s loss to India in a recent match, adding that winning and losing is part of the game. He acknowledged that there is room for improvement in the national team and expressed hope that performance would improve in the future.
He also referred to past political rhetoric, stating that the PTI founder had previously said he would “take down the AC.”
He said it was premature to talk about Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu's presence in the Gaza Peace Board.
