PTI chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan and Secretary General Salman Akram Raja were not allowed to meet Imran Khan on the day in Adiala Jail resultantly both leaders left for home from Marble Factory checkpoint.
The names of Barrister Gohar Ali Khan and Salman Akram Raja were included in the meeting list.
Talking to media, Barrister Gohar flayed the non-serious attitude of the government and termed it unconstitutional.
Barrister Gohar said they had high hopes their meeting will be arranged today. He said that PTI leadership wanted to get firsts information regarding the health of Imran Khan. He lamented the stubborn attitude of the government.
Barrister Gohar told the government that PTI founder Imran Khan was the man of the match of the country’s politics.
Earlier, PTI Secretary General Salman Akram Raja has said that there are no back door talks with the government, adding that all issues will be discussed with the government in front of the public, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel.
Talking to media at Adiala Road Rawalpindi, Raja said that it was the basic legal right that families and legal counsel should be allowed to meet PTI founder Imran Khan. He said that the government can not snatch the right to speak from any of the inmates.
Raja said that every prisoner has the right to say everything. People have written books in prison.He said it was completely wrong to say that PTI founder cannot discuss politics in a meeting.
Salman Raja said “it was necessary for the family to be present at the time of Imran Khan's medical examination. Even if there were any of us, our words would not have satisfied the nation”.
