Meghan Markle has given fans a rare and intimate glimpse into her family life by sharing a video of herself dancing with Prince Harry, filmed by their daughter, Princess Lilibet.

The black-and-white footage shows the Duke and Duchess of Sussex barefoot on the grass, spinning and swaying together while their four-year-old daughter records the moment. Meghan and Harry are seen holding hands, laughing, and dancing closely before Meghan leaps into her husband’s arms as Lilibet looks on.

Meghan posted the clip on Instagram on Friday, marking her first post on the platform since the beginning of the New Year. She accompanied the video with the caption: "When 2026 feels just like 2016….you had to be there." She also credited Princess Lilibet for filming the tender moment.

Alongside the video, the Duchess shared a nostalgic photograph from August 2016 showing her and Harry embracing during a trip to Botswana, which marked their third date.

Prince Harry has previously spoken about how the couple camped together for five nights under the stars during that early stage of their relationship.

Both the caption and the throwback image appear to reference a viral trend in which people post photos from ten years ago to evoke nostalgia. Several celebrities have participated in the trend, including Meghan’s close friend Mindy Kaling, as well as Amy Schumer, Eva Longoria, and Hailey Bieber.

The newly shared footage follows another deeply personal moment Meghan released just weeks earlier. In December, she unveiled a family portrait featuring herself, Harry, and their two children, Archie and Lilibet. The image was the clearest public photograph yet of the young prince and princess.

In the festive portrait, Harry is shown holding Archie’s head gently in his hands as they smile at one another. Nearby, Meghan is pictured on a bridge with Lilibet, bending down to rest her forehead against her daughter’s while holding both of her hands.

Earlier this week, Meghan also introduced her latest As Ever product, a limited-edition leather bookmark priced at $18 (£13.40), which quickly sold out. The item was described as a “bespoke” keepsake designed for those who enjoy lingering with their books and was created in collaboration with a small British studio called Sbri.

The bookmark is made from black leather and finished with gold lettering written in Meghan’s own handwriting. It is handmade in the UK using sustainably sourced materials.

Meghan explained the collaboration in her As Ever newsletter, writing: "Our "Fell Asleep Here" Leather Bookmark was made in collaboration with Sbri, a small UK-based female-owned workshop specializing in handcrafted, made-to-order keepsakes."

The New Forest-based brand behind the bookmark says it focuses on appreciating life’s finer details. The workshop shared: "Working with natural materials means each piece we make is completely unique. We hand-draw our designs in house, then carefully print them onto beautiful British and Italian leather."

There are also claims that Meghan plans to release a cookbook in 2026, following her Netflix series With Love, Meghan. According to an insider, the book could feature recipes such as her “single skillet spaghetti,” a “rainbow-themed fruit salad,” and her signature jams and marmalades.

The source added that hosting advice, which played a major role in her Netflix show, is also expected to be included. The cookbook is reportedly scheduled for spring and may coincide with an expansion of Meghan’s As Ever brand into non-food items such as candles.

Meghan’s fondness for full-bodied red wine is also well known. Her former lifestyle blog, The Tig, was named after a wine, and there are rumors that a California cabernet sauvignon could be part of her future product line.

However, according to a Daily Mail source, she plans to move away from earlier offerings such as crepe and biscuit kits, which were among the first items released when her business launched in March 2025.

Meghan has previously been involved in publishing projects, including writing the foreword for Together: Our Community Cookbook following the Grenfell Tower fire in 2018. She is also the author of the children’s book The Bench.
