National Assembly (NA) Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq said on Saturday that he would not allow any MNA in the assembly to speak against the armed forces of Pakistan and the judiciary, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

He was speaking to the media in Lahore.

“Where is it written that whenever a leader of the opposition rises to speak, he will be allowed to speak?” he questioned.

The speaker advised the opposition to make speeches in the parliament which focus on projects of public welfare. “If opposition leaders refrain from making provocative speeches, they will be allowed to speak,” he said, adding that so long as the protest by the opposition remained peaceful, nobody would object to it.

It was his, Ayaz went on to say, responsibility not to allow the MNAs to deliver anti-Pakistan speeches.

He made it clear that nobody would be allowed to spread mischief in the assembly. “Parliament is the platform for the resolution of all the issues confronted by the masses.”
