A notice was issued to Aleema Khan, elder sister of the jailed former prime minister Imran Khan, over her “anti-state social media activities”, 24NewsHD TV reported on Wednesday.
The notice has been issued by the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) and Aleema Khan has been directed to appear at the NCCIA office in Lahore’s Gulberg-II area at 11:30AM on July 17 (today), 24NewsHD quoted sources as saying.
According to the notice, Aleema Khan has been summoned to record a statement in her defence. The notice says that proceedings have been initiated against Aleema Khan over her activities on May 27, 2025, under the inquiry number 2531/25.
The notice says that NCCIA will assume that Aleema Khan doesn’t have anything to say in her defence if she doesn’t appear before the investigators.
The notice says that legal action will be taken against Aleema Khan under Article 174 if she doesn’t appear before the investigators.
NCCIA is an institution working under the Interior Ministry of Pakistan.
