An FIR has been lodged against six officials of Crime Control Department (CCD) for unlawfully arresting citizens, demanding ransom, and keeping them in detention in Bahawalpur, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.
According to CCD, Bahawalpur employees booked for illegally arresting a person from Hasilpur.
A case was registered against the CCD officials for demanding ransom for wrongful detention and exceeding the authority.
The case was registered on the complaint of Inspector Bilal Qureshi, an officer of CCD Hasilpur.
