Pakistani digital creator and rights advocate Hassan Kilde Bajwa has drawn attention to women's rights after sharing a story from his own wedding.
Hassan, who has been speaking about women's rights for years, shared a message from his wife recalling how his father made her carefully read the Nikahnama to ensure she understood her rights and that also included the right to divorce.
He said his father wanted the bride to know that she was not a prisoner to the marriage contract and was fully aware of her legal rights before signing it.
The digital creator also urged and explain families to educate women about their rights.
Hassan warned people against signing a Nikahnama without the right to divorce.
In the end he added that any family unwilling to grant this right to the bride was not worth marrying into.
