Nawaz says govt focused on health and education

Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif has said the government is focused on education and health.

Speaking to the media in London on Monday, Sharif said that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz are doing excelling an excellent job and people’s problems are being solved. He said that Pakistan has once again taken the path of progress. He said that Shehbaz Sharif laid the foundation stone of progress in Pakistan and Maryam Nawaz is carrying that vision forward.

Sharif, who is also president of the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), said the PML-N is building hospitals for treatment of cancer and heart-related diseases. He said that Maryam Nawaz is building a medical city and providing free healthcare facilities in different cities of Punjab. He said that distribution of Kissan Card and laptops is under way. He said that Maryam Nawaz is working very hard in every field.

The three-time former prime minister said the government was working to cut the power tariff. He said the State Bank of Pakistan has cut the interest rate, which was far higher in Imran Khan’s government than today.
