Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) is set to resume its direct flight operations from Lahore to Paris starting Wednesday (tomorrow) after a hiatus of five years, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Tuesday.
According to PIA sources, the inaugural flight PK-733 will depart from Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport at 12.00 noon with carrying over 300 passengers.
Senior officials of PIA will also be aboard the first flight to Paris.
The Lahore-to-Paris route was suspended five years ago due to administrative and operational challenges, leaving regular travelers to pay premium prices on other carriers to reach France.
The national carrier has now scheduled one weekly flight between Lahore and Paris.
The fare for the round-trip journey is expected to range between Rs 300,000 and Rs 350,000 when booked online, making it a relatively economical alternative for passengers compared to private airline options.
