A huge fire on Monday erupted in an electronics showroom located on Murree Road in Rawalpindi and reduced to ashes all the electronics items which were lying at the rooftop of the building, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Soon after receiving the report, Rescue and fire-brigade teams reached the spot to bring the fire under control.
Earlier in February 2025, a fire broke out in a manhole connected to the 132 kV Cantt Grid Station, disrupting power supply to 14 feeders in Rawalpindi.
According to the IESCO spokesperson, electricity has been restored to 10 feeders, while power remains suspended in Committee Chowk, Liaquat Bagh, Arya Mohalla, and Mohanpura.
IESCO’s operational teams are working round the clock to restore power in the affected areas.
