Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) arrested a terrorist who is a member of the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), Fitna al Khawarij, during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) from Okara, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
The arrested terrorist is identified as Rehmatullah resident of Kabal district, Swat. The Counter-Terrorism Department team also recovered more than one and a half kilograms of explosive material, detonators, primacord, electric circuit from his possession.
CTD team summoned Bomb Disposal Squad to defuse the explosive material. The terrorist planned to spread harassment in the area by using explosive material.
The Counter-Terrorism Department team, after registering a case against the terrorist, started an investigation.
