The federal government employees have announced to stage protest demonstration in Islamabad for seeking hike in wages in the upcoming federal budget for fiscal year 2025-26, reported 24NewsHDTV Channel.
All Government Employees Grand Alliance (APEGA) said that workers will also stage a sit-in in front of the Parliament House ahead of annual budget presentation. The employees of all public sector departments will participate from all over the country.
The APEGA protest march will start from Secretariat Chowk which will conclude at the Parliament House.
The alliance leadership has demanded of the government to increase the salaries, pensions, and basic salary by 50 percent. The employees made it clear that they would hold a sit-in if the government failed to accept their demands.
The APEGA demanded that the minimum wage of the laborer should be fixed at 50 thousand and the discrimination in the salaries of employees of federal government should be eliminated.
