Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif held an important meeting with the president of the brotherly country Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
In the meeting, mutual cooperation, investment and bilateral relations between Pakistan and Azerbaijan were discussed.
Maryam Nawaz Sharif appreciated the strong and historical relations between the two brotherly countries.
Agreement was reached in the meeting to increase cooperation in economic, trade and development sectors.
Determination expressed to further promote partnership between Punjab and Azerbaijan in various sectors.
Provincial ministers Bilal Yasin, Azma Bukhari, Malik Faisal Khokhar, Advisor to Chief Minister Punjab Ali Dar, Chief Secretary Punjab Zahid Akhtar Zaman and others were also present on the occasion.

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif begun her engagements in Baku by visiting the tomb of Azerbaijan's Father of the Nation Haider Ali in Baku.
Maryam Nawaz Sharif laid flowers on the tomb of Azerbaijani Father of the Nation Haider Ali and recited Fateha.
Maryam Nawaz Sharif also arrived at the memorial Alley of Martyrs in Baku. She also laid flowers on the memorial Alley of Martyrs.
Maryam Nawaz Sharif paid tribute to the sacrifices of Azerbaijani martyrs. She paid tribute by placing flowers in front of the photographs in the Alley of Martyrs in Baku.
CM Maryam and the participants of the delegation appreciated the sacrifices of Azerbaijani national martyrs.
Azerbaijani Ambassador Khizr Farhadov and other members of the delegation were also with Maryam Nawaz Sharif.
